Thank you for your Service!
A big “Thank You” to all of our brothers and sisters in arms that have served with us, before us and after us!
The military brings many people together from all across the country and we all have a unique story. From why we joined the military to how it changed and shaped our lives.
Our Life and Love of Continued Service
Let me share a little our Air Force story…
Both of us grew up on the east coast. Ray enlisted in the Army, from the Bronx NYC, as a Unit Armor and Supply Clerk for the first four years of his 25-year career. He then enlisted in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic and retired as a First Sergeant.
I enlisted in the Air Force, from a small town in Central Pennsylvania near Hershey and among the Amish, Mennonite and Brethren communities, as a Supply Technician and cross-trained into the Ophthalmic Technician career field after ten years of service. I also served in two special duty career fields; Medical Wing Historian and the Inspector General, Inspections Manager.
During the beginning of my Air Force career, many of us needed minor alterations or rank sewn on our uniforms. I quickly learned and became proficient in minor Air Force uniform alterations and could provide a 24-hour service. I then started donating my free time by machine embroidering promotion line numbers on enlisted stripes for squadron leadership that provided the stripes. This led to my vision of an enlisted stripe shaped quilt!
After the culmination of my 26-year military career, it was an easy decision to follow my dream of opening a woman/veteran owned small business where I can provide not only “modern day time capsules” with my t-shirt quilts/coats, but also unique military keepsakes that represent many military milestones throughout someone’s service.
I am grateful to continue supporting the military community. I thank all that have served with me and shaped me on this life-long journey!
